First the bad news.
I was sick. Typhus. Though I was vaccinated this year. Cause this disease needs some weeks until it breaks out, it is very unlikely that I have infected me here in Kenya, but I do not know where else. However – I took Antibiotics for five days and now I’m healed.
Now the good news.
It’s been an incredible week. I’m staying here in a wonderful family for my volunteer work. In the house live Alice, the Executive Director of Safisha Africa Welfare Foundation, and her one sister and three sons.
They showed me how to make Chapati, a kind of traditional pancake.
And they showed me the school, where I work voluntarily for the next month. The “The Safisha Africa School” is in a slum, but because I never go alone there, I feel safe.
And it’s really fun to work with the kids.
I also met some students from Germany and had a lot of fun with them. We gone to the top of the Kenyatta International Conference Centre – 27th floors by the elevator, visited the Nairobi National Museum and explored the Nightlife of Nairobi.
Were we robbed until now?
Yes we were. They steal a bag with our purchases for dinner out of the window of a Matatu, the small busses here. And fortunately we had the beer in another bag. 😉
