After the ten days trek back in Kathmandu, I’ve visited the cultural treasures of Nepal. You can already see many cultural buildings in the capital: Swayambhunath, an ancient religious complex, the big Bodnath Stupa, or Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine, the Pashupatinath.
I also climbed on the Bhimsen Tower in the center of Kathmandu, visited the nearby Durbar Square and spend a beautiful evening in the Garden Of Dreams.
From Kathmandu, I traveled with a friend from the Project in Gati to Pokhara. There we visited the World Peace Pagoda, took a boat ride on the Begnas Lake and saw the sunrise from the Sarangkot viewpoint.
The last city I saw in Nepal was Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha.
